New Art, Dance and Science Interacting at the Maxwell Centre

This project brings together art works that respond to, or parallel, the ethos of the new Maxwell Centre, which is to promote experimentation, interaction and the most ambitious and creative scientific research.

Exhibiting artists:

Rana Begum, Laura Buckley, Benedict Drew, Fischli/Weiss, Ulyana Gumenuik, Issam Kourbaj, Gustav Metzger, Eugenio Polgovsky-Ezcurra, Paul Purgas, Hito Steyerl, Mark Titchner and Edward Wilson

The art and science interactions include a specially commissioned dance and sound work by leading choreographer Wayne McGregor and artist Haroon Mirza.
Also displayed are some of James Clark Maxwell’s original scientific instruments as well as selected outcomes from the Nano⌃Art project.
